When attempting to insert a hyperlink into an announcement I receive the following message:  Could not create a link. Please select something first.

On the hyperlink set up screen I have url and default selected from the drop downs and am attempting to add the following http://arsenalenforcers.shutterfly.com/

See the Tips and Tricks document linked to the main page viewed when you first log in.  It shows you how to create a hyperlink.  Based upon the message, it sounds like you are placing your curser, but not selecting text.  To make a hyperlink, you have to select an image or selct some text first, and then click on the Hyperlink icon.  You select text by holding your left mouse button down while moving your curser over the text you wish to make into a hyperlink.

Please let us know if you continue to have issues.  Based on the info you provided, this is our best guess at the solution.
